We’re honored to announce that the Military Wall of Honor at Logansport High School now includes 1,054 names, with 48 recently added. Among them is our oldest graduate recognized to date, Ora J. Cohee, Class of 1905.
As detailed in the Pharos-Tribune, Cohee served as a first lieutenant and chaplain for the 34th Infantry Regiment in World War I. In 1918, while deployed in France, he saved two soldiers in battle — carrying one over his shoulder while helping carry a stretcher with his free hand. He later served in World War II as Theater Chaplain for the Pacific Ocean areas, earning the title “Indiana’s Fighting Chaplain.” (Source: Pharos-Tribune, https://www.pharostribune.com/news/article_a460f1ab-7bae-40b8-8b09-604c97371225.html)
